If you’ve listened to the History’s Trainwrecks podcast, you know that General Douglas MacArthur is my number one trainwreck of all time. He had a lot and could have had it all, but he blew it. Like most trainwrecks, he blew it big time.

He could have been the Allied Supreme Commander in World War II, President of the United States, and General of the Armies.

In the pantheon of revered Americans, he could easily have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with George Washington.

So what happened? And if there were good things about Douglas, what were they?
